Connect Sangfor SCP to Vinchin

Add Sangfor SCP Virtual Platform

To connect Sangfor SCP cluster controller to Vinchin, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Resources > Virtual Infrastructure > Virtual Platform page.
  2. Click on Add button.
  3. In the Platform dropdown list, select Sangfor Cloud Platform.
  4. In the IP/Domain field, specify the IP address or domain name of the Sangfor SCP cluster controller.
  5. In the Login Type, select Password Authentication or EC2 Authentication.
  6. In the Username and Password fields, if you are using password, please specify credentials of the Sangfor SCP cluster controller. If you are using EC2, please specify the AccessKey and SecretKey.
  7. In the Name field, specify a custom name for this newly added virtual platform.
  8. Click on OK to add the Sangfor SCP virtual platform.

Notice

Please make sure Vinchin backup server can access the Sangfor SCP virtual platform on ports 4433 and SCP ports 40809-40824 located under SCP, otherwise you will not be able to add virtual platform or perform VM backup.

Get Sangfor SCP Virtual Platform Licensed for Backup

Once you have successfully added the Sangfor SCP virtual platform to Vinchin backup server, in the Virtual Platform List, the Sangfor SCP virtual platform will be listed.

If your license type is "Per CPU Sockets", the Sangfor SCP virtual platform will be Unlicensed state, at this moment you are unable to create any backup job for the Sangfor SCP VMs.

To get the Sangfor SCP virtual platform licensed for backup, please do as follows.

  1. Click on the License button.
  2. In the Host Licensing dialog, select all hosts of the Sangfor SCP virtual platform.
  3. Click on License button to get the Sangfor SCP hosts licensed for VM backup.

Once the Sangfor SCP virtual platform gets licensed, you are now able to create backup jobs for the Sangfor SCP VMs.
