Script Manangement

Vinchin Backup & Recovery supports the use of scripts to perform preprocessing before backups, replace manual work with scripts for automated data inspection and verification, and handle certain applications/services via scripts during takeover.You can choose script when creating jobs.

Notice Applicable Modules: Database Protection, Database Scheduled Recovery (Verification/Drill), Whole-Machine Protection, Whole-Machine Real-Time Protection, Whole-Machine Replication, Whole-Machine Takeover, Instant Recovery to Embedded System, Cross-Platform Recovery.

The scripts for backup configuration can be managed from Resources > Backup Resources > Script management. you can add script by clicking add button.

Script Name,A Script name can be specified for identification of the Script you added.

Function Description, you can optionally add some function descriptions of this Script to more convinently identify those scripts.

Script Type, please select the corresponding type of the script you have add, vinchin support script type include:shell(.sh), bat(.bat), python(.py), SQL(.sql), Poweshell(ps1). if the type doesn't match the script, some error maybe occur when you use it.

Script content, you can input the content of your script here, please make sure you have fully understood and tested its functionality,Improper script execution may cause system issues or data loss.

You can manage the scripts in the list,For the Options button, You can click it to edit, delete or download, the functions of the button are different.
