Manage Backup Copy Data

After a copy job is finished, you are able to manage the copy data on Data Resilience > Copy > Copy Data page.

By unfolding the copy storages and the copy jobs, you can view all the copy data. By selecting corresponding copy points, you are able to delete the selected copy data with the Delete button on the top left. In the copy Point List on the right, by clicking on the Options button, users can Comment, Delete or Set Retention Tags for the copy points.

Users can Comment on all copy points, no matter full, incremental or differential. Delete copy points can be only performed with the full copy points, but the dependent incremental or differential copy points will be deleted along with the full copy points.

As for Set Retention tags, only full copy points can be set with a forever retention tag, and the full copy point with a forever retention tag, its dependent incremental or differential copy points will be reserved permanently along with the full copy points.

Setting Retention Tags for the onsite copy data can be done directly from the web console of the local Vinchin server, but for the offsite copy data, it needs to be done on the web console of the remote Vinchin server.
