Application Group

If the verification object requires other machines to start up, you can create an application group and select the corresponding application group when creating the verification task. The machines in the application group will run before the verification object and remain powered on until the verification object completes.

Login to the Vinchin Backup & Disaster Recovery System. Click Data Resilience > Verification > Application Groups, then click Add to create a new application group. Fill in Application group name and select Restore to storage and Verification Object. According selected object list, you can set General configuration, Verification configuration and Network configuration.

General configuration: select backup time point, CPU architecture, CPU Sockets, Cores per Socket, RAM Size, Guset OS Type and Operating system version.

Verification configuration: When verification for a specific item is unnecessary, it can be disabled, and that item will be skipped during verification. Both ping and heartbeat require the virtual machine to have tools installed to pass verification.

Network configuration: Configure network settings for the virtual machine. Click Check to perform a driver check. After the check completes, click OK to finish adding the applcation group. You can check, edit or delete the added application groups in the list.
